Groomsmen

After some really serious thought, I am willing to be my bro, Chau’s “bro” on his big day with my dear girlfriend, Kellyn. That is, if he wants me to be, I am willing to exchange the beautiful dress for a suit just to stand next to them.

It may seem like it’s not that much of a big deal but please know that I look like crap in pants. Which girl in the right mind would choose a suit when she could look all sorts of beautiful in a dress?

As much as I love them both, Chau will always be my brother. (Oh my god I am going to cry, what the fuck) I love my girlfriends but brothers will always be family to me.

If not for him, I won’t have Kellyn. To see (or to “marry off”) a brother married to the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with is beyond meaningful and I wouldn’t mind going through it with him from his side.

He was my voice of reason for years. Minimal talk. No nonsense - the way I like it to be - I dislike excessive talk as does he.

We’ve literally seen each other grow up - from a bermuda shorts-wearing adolescent to long pants at Sec 3, his past relationships (and mine), his army days (his biceps when he’s in OCS, yum! ..Until he evolved into a fat blob of sloth when he got into some slack unit to be an Ociffer), till now… A young man in business wear, toting his business bag.

So yeah, it’s very special thinking bout it. And having that day inching nearer, my heart is about to shrivel into a pathetic mush because MY BOY HAS GROWN UP AND IS GETTING MARRIED ;________;

Just that thought alone makes me willing to don on a suit instead of a beautiful dress.

p/s: My willingness to be part of his “bro” troop doesn’t mean that I want to be, I am merely saying that I don’t mind. I am still looking forward to be maid-of-honour. And yeah, I say that with extreme confidence, no ounce of shame. Bite me, bitch.

p/p/s: It is impossible that I would set myself out to look like shit on his big day. Of course I’ll get a suit from DSquared, have you seen their suits for women? Damn.
